Italy turns to nanotechnology to retain competitiveness in fashion industry

Following on from our recent interest in the textile industry (which has been keeping us quiet for a while) Xinhua reports on Singular ID’s recent agreement on brand protection with Benetton in the context of a new 26 million euro Italian nanotech initiative baased at VEGA, the Venice Science and Technology Park.

Just one correction, Singular ID has been around for more than 16 days – although the Italian subsidiary was established as a result winning the Nanochallenge 2005 competition.
