According to an Israeli newspaper, “10% of Israel’s major plastics and rubber enterprises would begin using nanotechnology within two years.” This certainly correlates with our own analysis of R&D spending (see above).

Unlike other predictions we have seens this week, such as a third of all DRAM memory being replaced by ‘nano memory’ by 2010, this plastics prediction is believable – although many a chemist would argue that a lot of plastics have involved nanotech for twenty years or more.
