Star Trek-like Electronic Gadgets in Wales, Quantum Computers in Cambridge

The UK took a step into the future , or at least boosted its nanotech capabilities yesterday by the opening of a new MNC (in this case a Multidisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre rather than the a multinational corporation) in Swansea.

Meanwhile the University of Cambridge bagged a £4.4 million (about $7.8 million) research grant to investigate nanostructures focussed on developing semiconductor devices for “quantum computing.”
