Nanotech Buzz asks “What future accomplishment do you think deserves the X Prize for nanotechnology?”
It’s a good question. While the original X prixe for manned space flight was a very clear and focussed objective, how would you develop a similar test for nanotech without it becoming too silly . Would it be a prize for the first flight of a diamondoid nanobot or the first real time sub nanometer imaging under ambient conditions (i.e. not under vacuum).
While industry around the world is already working towards prizes far great than those offered by the X Prize Foundation, we would like to see the nanotech prize awarded for an area of nanotech that would really fire the imagination. Any ideas?
