Samsung has reportedly developed the first prototype fuel cell for portable multimedia players based on nano-composite membranes.
It might actually be the second or third, as NECs version was so long ago that telephones and laptops were the target market, but still fails to answer the two key questions:
1. Why would anyone want a fuel cell that provides less playing time than an iPod battery and
2. Will it be allowed on aircraft (although this doesn’t seem to be an issue for highly flammable liquids)?.
