Cosmetics Design.com reports that Beiersdorf (manufacturers of Nivea among other products) has followed L’Oreals lead and invested in a “newly opened joint-venture nanotechnology R&D centre as part of its aims to become one of the leading players in this fast-growing industry.”
The City of Hamburg has stumped up 9.5 million euros and other partners are reported to be local companies Eppenhorf, Evotec, Hamburger Sparkasse , Medigate and Olympus Wineter & Ibe.
