Taking Precautions

Clambering to the top of our “Shouldn’t people who claim to understand nanotechnologies have something better to do” file is an article entitled “Preliminary Time Issues” May Affect Nanotechnology Industry.”

It seems that if you have to put on nanopants or take precautions against nanobots you can be paid for doing do, at least in the US. The article concludes that

“In sum, this is a good opportunity for nanotechnology companies to take the opportunity to review their personnel practices regarding “preliminary activities” that occur before the start of the work day. If such activities are an “integral and indispensable” part of an employee’s work day, time spent on them must be compensated.”
